TwoThree

"Very fun, but not mcuh math"

submission: TwoThree
date: August 17, 2009

In my opinion, this game would be much better if you brought back the one, BUT, reduce the firing time (so that you cant fire so fast) and make it so that you have to reduce the number to zero exactly, no remainder. for instance, nine requires 333, or five requires 23, rather than now how you have to just mash the buttons repeatedly to win. Also, to allow time to think by making the numbers come on at a slower rate, and less at a time. Then I think this game would be a winner. You might even make it so that if you go over a number, it goes into the negatives. Like hitting a 5 with a 33 will make it go to -1, which you will then have to hit with a 1 to make disappear. Great game though, way too short :P

Face maker beta 2

"Fun, but needs some more variety"

submission: Face maker beta 2
date: July 3, 2009

I liked this, its pretty fun, for about 2 minutes, then it gets old. I think you need to give it a little more variety of pieces. Also, a selection of music would be very handy (because I don't really like the song you used - just a personal opinion). Also, if you know how, having an option to export to a jpeg would be awesome. A selection of default faces would also be a nice improvement.

Good luck with the full version, I am sure it will be awesome.

"very unique animation"

date: June 27, 2009

I loved this movie. You did an incredible job of syncing the music to the movie, and you did a pretty interesting video interpretation of the song. I also really like your animation style. My only gripe is that your walking animations could be a tad more realistic (looked a little odd, I'm not sure how). Otherwise, and incredible movie. 5/5, 10/10.

SK - Psycholunatic

"Excellent"

submission: SK - Psycholunatic
date: September 9, 2009

Very good. Great composition, and an incredibly unique melody.

Only a few qualms. One is that the sound is kinda thin with the lead so far above the bass and drums, that you need some filler in between to close the gap. Also, the snare rolls sound too robotic on their own, and need some effects or change of notes, anything really so that it doesn't sound too robotic.

"Turn it down a little..."

date: September 9, 2009

You say to turn the amp up all the way, so I am assuming that you have one of your own. Therefore you should have noticed the obvious crackling going down at 0:42. We can always turn the volume up, so turn yours down so we can have a better experience.

Otherwise, good job with the melody. At least you didn't just keep the old melody through the entire song but instead mixed it and change it up some to keep things fresh. Although, at the final plateau, you kept it going for too long and just kept coming back to it without too much change. So much that you just get worn out of listening and want it to just end.

Oh, and only a 7 out of 10 cause you kept the same synth for most of the entire song.

Fair call. Mastering DOES need to be done.

Psychedelica - Panic Pt.3

"Not deserving of a top 5"

date: September 9, 2009

I'll list off all the problems with this song:
-Use of dry VEC2 samples, yes BD FX, that was obvious... need actual effects
-Overcompression on the drums, and generally the entire song
-Piano quickly got drowned out during their chords, they need more sustain so they
-Stale transitions and a very bland build, need some fade ins,
-Basic structure, you cant always go up
-Panning effect is incredibly harsh on the ears whenwearing

Finally, the one part which I enjoyed, the piano solo, was great. Why was it so difficult to hear? The piano should have completely stood out at that part, try pitching it up an octave or EQing a hole for the piano to sit in.

I hope I haven't made too many enemies by my review, but look at what I said and improve your next song by that much.

Not deserving of a top 5 in my opinion. Keep working on it.

Author's Response:

WOOT FOR VEC2!!!!!!!! USED EVERYWHERE ON NEWGROUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!! I do agree though, it could use more mastering. But i guess the tune and melody of the song drown out the quality :)

Thank you for your criticism though, i truly appreciate it. Thanks for reviewing too.
